WHAT IS A CERAMIC COATING?
Ceramic coating is a semi-permanent or permanent (depending on the type) of coating that is applied to the exterior of your vehicle to protect against external paint damage.It is a nanoscopic paint treatment that’s applied in liquid form, but cures to form a hard layer over your vehicle’s paint. It’s typically composed of silicon dioxide (SiO2), which is often sourced from natural materials, including quartz and sand. When the chemicals bond with your car’s paint, they create a hydrophobic (water-repelling) effect.
There are many different types of ceramic coatings available, including DIY but we strongly recommend that you contact a professional to ensure your car’s paint is properly taken care of! One main reason is the risk outweigh the reward, if applied incorrectly your vehicle will need a paint correction to reverse damage coursed, also some companies use the word ceramic coating but it isn't, there basically paint sealants that have no where near the real benefits of a full ceramic coating.
